First exposed to yoga at her undergraduate university gym, it quickly became more than a workout for Emily; it became a necessity for mental clarity and relief from anxiety. Over the last seven years of maintaining a yoga practice, Emily decided that it was time to share her passion and transformation in a broader setting in hopes of incorporating a similar healing that she experienced into the lives of others .
She completed her 200-hour training at Thrive Yoga, located in a suburb of Washington D.C., before moving to Philadelphia. Her training specialized in a wealth of yogic history, philosophy, anatomy, and variations of yoga practiced today, including Vinyasa Yoga, Hot Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, and Yoga for Beginners. Yoga is more than how close you are to touching your toes; yoga is about delving further into your true self. Emily looks forward to beginning her journey as a teacher at her current workplace and expanding upon her knowledge as an ever-present student.
